Privacy Policy
Effective: 29 March 2026
Radarpilot ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data That Stays on Your Device
The following data is processed entirely on your iPhone and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Calendar data — accessed via Apple EventKit to generate reminders
- Email content — accessed via IMAP to extract action items. Your IMAP credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain.
- Health data — accessed via Apple HealthKit (sleep and activity) to optimise notification timing
- AI processing — the on-device language model runs locally. No prompts or outputs leave your device.
Data We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to provide the service:
- Device identifier — a randomly generated UUID stored on your device, used to deliver push notifications and sync humor pack subscriptions.
- APNs device token — provided by Apple for push notification delivery. Stored on our server.
- Engagement signals — anonymous, aggregated interaction data (e.g., pack views, subscription counts) used to improve content quality. No personal information is included.
Data We Do Not Collect
- Your name, email address, or personal identity (unless you register as a beta tester or creator)
- Your calendar events, email content, or health data
- Your location
- Advertising identifiers
Third-Party Services
Radarpilot uses the following third-party services:
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — to deliver push notifications
- Fly.io — to host our backend API server
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Data Retention
Device tokens are retained while your app is active. Tokens from devices that have not connected in 30 days are automatically removed. Engagement signals are stored in aggregate form indefinitely.
Your Rights
You can:
- Revoke calendar, health, or notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings
- Remove your IMAP credentials by signing out in the app's Email Setup screen
- Request deletion of all server-side data by emailing support@radarpilot.me
Children's Privacy & Parental Controls
Radarpilot includes parental controls that allow parents and guardians to manage the content their children can access:
- Content rating filter — Every humor pack carries an age rating (G, PG, T, or M). Parents can set a maximum content rating, protected by Face ID or device passcode, to restrict which packs are visible.
- Locked packs — Parents can create or subscribe to a curated pack and lock the app to that pack, ensuring only parent-approved content is shown.
- Private family packs — Creators can build invite-only packs shared via a private join link, suitable for family use.
Radarpilot does not collect personally identifiable information from any user. Device tokens and anonymous engagement signals cannot be used to identify individuals, including children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
